Executive Development Conference

Our annual summer conference is intended for head of department Fire Chiefs, Chief Officers and any Fire Service professionals who currently hold or wish to pursue a career in leadership. The educational program is structured as all general sessions, bringing together executive and management level discussions as well as topics at the forefront of concern. This program aims to give the participants a more expansive view of Fire Service issues and their role as leaders to influence the future of their department and the industry as a whole.

Full registration to the conference includes access to various networking events and a guest pass for a spouse/partner. In an industry so close knit and where relationships matter, this event fosters the concept of the "fire family" and encourages participants to connect and share ideas with one another so together, we can make the Fire Service better than we left it.

The vendor opportunity at this event is through sponsorship and a limited vendor showcase of cocktail rounds with only informational material/giveaways permitted to give all vendors equal representation.

Group Rate
A reduced nightly rate of $224.00 (plus tax) per night for Run of House accommodations has been negotiated for conference attendees. The group rate is subject to availability, and room types are limited, so be sure to make your hotel reservations in advance. Room rate includes resort fees. Group rate ends Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Terms

  • Run of House rooms will be assigned based on hotel availability at check-in. Check in time is 4:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m. Early check-in is based upon availability at time of arrival and cannot be guaranteed in advance.
  • Run of House booking link provides the option for Golf View Double (guaranteed) or Standard Room (King or Double will be determined at the time of arrival based on availability). To request a King room, please add this to the Requests portion of the Guest Information page, or call the hotel to make the request. Requests for a King room have a high likelihood to be fulfilled, although not a guarantee.
  • Room rates shown do not include 13% Room Tax and Resort Fee is included in the rate (subject to change).
  • A discounted Resort Fee of $25.00 (normally $68.00) is included in the rate and will include the following for the duration of the stay:
    • Enhanced high-speed internet access in the guestroom.
    • Daily pass and access for 2 people to the Spa, Fitness Center, and Wellness Circuit including access to the Aromatherapy/Chroma-therapy Steam Room and Himalayan Salt Therapy Suite, (does not include spa treatments), reservations required.
    • Daily Access for 2 people to Cascata Pool (Adults Only)
    • Admission to Tidal Cove Water Park (based on legal occupancy of room type)
    • Daily Access for 2 people to driving range with unlimited use of range golf balls. Reservations are required.
    • Use of resort bikes for up to 2 people; unlimited time limit, reservations required.
    • Children 3 years of age and under eat complimentary at CORSAIR (children’s menu)
  • Reservations booked by individual attendees require a credit card at time of booking. The credit card will be held on file and not charged at time of reservation.
  • Cancellation: Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one night's room and tax.
  • $20.00 per day for self-parking, with in and out privileges
  • 10% discount at the spa for all attendees for duration of the stay

Silent Auction

The Executive Development Conference Silent Auction and Raffle is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Foundation. Proceeds from the auction and raffles go to support the mission of the foundation, such as the Firefighter/EMT Scholarship for at-risk and economically disadvantaged candidates, educational grants for current Fire Service professionals seeking professional development, and to offset the individual costs for the Fire Cadet Section.

Attendees and guests are encouraged to review the auction catalog beforehand to plan the best bidding strategy! This is an in-person event, so you must be present to bid and win items.

Fees and Cancellation

Please note all fees must be paid in full prior to the first day of the conference. Cancellations received in writing to the Florida Fire Chiefs' Association at least thirty (30) days prior to the first day of the conference may receive a full refund in the original form of payment. Cancellations received in less than 30 days prior to the first day of class may only be able to transfer their registration to another person in place of the original registrant.
