We need to adopt the IAFC’s Position Statement on same and add an amendment addressing our State’s needs. • The Safe Haven for Newborns event was held in Miami on October 20, 2018 at the InterContinental Hotel. The Association/Foundation was represented by President Miller and wife, Past President Drozd and wife, Past President Schuldt, Fire Chief Lars White and wife, and Executive Director Colburn and wife. • Completing FFCA Section and Committee assignments and communication. • As part of our strategic deliverables, a “draft” Scholarship Program Policy document was presented to President Miller and Foundation Chair Cindy Morgan for review and feedback. The document has been completed and the first scholarship awarded. • Developing a strategic partnership with Lexipol that will provide sponsorship, monthly co-branded leadership training webinars, and a potential revenue source. • Fallen Firefighters Memorial service scheduled for Friday, October 12th , at the Florida State Fire College in Ocala was canceled, now scheduled for Friday, December 7th …Class “A” Uniforms requested. • Beginning discussion with Hazmat Symposium Executive Committee…more to follow. • Working on data collection and open discussion with PCG regarding Certified Public Expenditure… As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
