Ray Colburn, Executive Director Our next scheduled Board of Director’s Teleconference will be held on Thursday, November 15th , 2018 at 9a.m. Because we will be running on a tight schedule I would like to present you my updated report ahead of time to review and hopefully conserve time. Employee Relations On September 15, 2018, Jaylan White’s employment with the Association was terminated. His termination was based upon his failure to successfully complete his probationary period by not meeting productivity standards established for his position. Subsequent to his termination, a forensic audit of his computer revealed that he had downloaded unauthorized programs that contained viruses which, once detected, took down three workstations for a day. That Issue has been resolved. Taylor Allen has successfully completed her probationary period. Gail Salerno has agreed to continue working part-time and has relocated to Tallahassee. Association & Foundation Communications We are currently working with Nanette Schimpf, Vice President, of The Moore Agency https://themooreagency.com/ to formulate a communications strategy for the Association. The Moore Agency is highly recommended by our friends at the Sheriff’s Association. The scope of work we are discussing includes, but is not limited to; all social media, branding, news clips, magazine, and general marketing. Also, we are conducting a “communication audit” with Moore to establish our needs list and, in the near future, we will be holding a work “innovation and incubation” session to determine our Association’s communication direction. This group will consist of selected Board Members and staff. More information to come.
