As of this date, we have 146 booths preregistered for $256,890 of revenue. We appear to be tracking along at last year’s pace. • EVT Program Planning Committee has been established and will again be Chaired by Bill Alm. Event site and dates have been confirmed… will be held at Daytona State College May 13th – 17th . Still working on hotel contract. • ConferenceDirect, Diane, has been placed on notice regarding FRE and her performance and deliverables as related to EDC. She has been notified that we will be putting together an RFP for FRE and EDC 2020. • Reviewing FRE Contract(s)… Registration $19,000 and Conference App…$11,000… • Developed “Draft” ESLI Program Guide… Need to schedule a make-up class before the end of the year and establish 2019 class schedule. Looking to provide make-up EOC Course before year end. • Beginning search for EDC speakers…more to come. • No movement on UAS Symposium/Conference. • Working on site search for FRE and EDC 2020 and beyond. FFCA Initiatives • Working on scheduling a Strategic Plan review session with Ben May as facilitator in February. • Developed course outline for Legislative Symposium for Chief Fire Officers…scheduled to be held in January 14th in Tallahassee. The intent is to encourage more Chiefs to engage in the legislative process by providing an overview and helping learn to navigate the Capital and Committee hearings. (Course outline attached) • Working with our public safety partners (FSA & FPCA) to schedule a meet-and-greet and Legislative Summit in November or December in Tallahassee. • Presented two (2) Resolutions for consideration: 1.) Resolution 2018-01 “Recognition of Chaplain Vandegriff” September 13th , 2018; 2.) Resolution 2018-02 “Recognition and Observance of The Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial” September 20th , 2018. Also, a copy of Resolution 2018-02 along with a letter requesting said event be observed by the State, was hand delivered to the Governor’s and CFO’s office. Governor did recognize October 7th as a Day of Remembrance in Florida, copy attached. • Letter to Department of Health recommending the appointment of Fire Chief Julie Downey to the EMS Advisory Council replacing the position previously held by Chief Azzariti.
