Evaluation of UAS Applications for Fire Operations

The Florida Fire Chiefs' Association (FFCA) is collaborating with Embry - Riddle Aeronautical University's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program for an assessment of the Fire Service's utilization and knowledge of available UAS technology.

All active personnel from career or volunteer fire departments in the State of Florida of all rank and file are encouraged to participate. You DO NOT need to be a member to complete the survey. Feel free to forward this survey to any interested parties. This survey will close Friday, May 15, 2020.

This survey seeks to capture:

  • Specific needs the Fire Service has that could be supported by UAS technology
  • Understand what training is available to the Fire Service
  • Identify if there are any gaps in training or utilization where UAS technology could be used to enhance other aspects of operations
  • What obstacles may exist in integrating UAS technology
