The 2021 Executive Development Conference is almost here, and we are looking forward to seeing you there! This page will give you several pointers for making your conference experience smooth and enjoyable. To avoid waiting in lines during the conference and silent auction registration, we recommend you register ahead of time per the instructions below.

Silent Auction – Register Now

Registration is now open for the Silent Auction to benefit the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Foundation and Fire Rescue Cadets. Save time at the conference by registering and providing your credit card before you go; you can browse the auction catalogue and place bids at the same time! Please note: Registration for the Silent Action will end at 5:00 PM EDT on Sunday, July 11, 2021. If you have not registered by then, you can do so onsite.

Conference Registration

Please register before your arrival if you have not already done so. This helps us to ensure we have the appropriate accommodations for all attendees. If you are having trouble securing hotel accommodations at the host hotel, please give us a call at (850) 900-5180 x 103.

Please visit the registration desk and check-in on your first day of attendance. We will provide you with your name badge which will give you access to events associated with your registration type.

Full Conference registration includes yourself and your spouse, partner or significant other. If you are bringing additional guests and you did not purchase tickets for them to attend the installation banquet, prayer breakfast, opening party or evening social, we recommend you do this before you arrive to ensure adequate accommodations. You can add this to your existing registration, or to keep things separate, you can also register them independently by selecting the Guest/Spouse/Partner registration type. If your guest does not wish to participate in the Guest Program, select “None” to proceed and elect to buy event tickets from the Add-on Options page.

Dress Code

The resort has a large footprint and there’s a lot to do. Bring comfortable footwear for walking and a jacket or sweater for the cool conference rooms. The dress code for the meetings and educational sessions is business casual. Please note the following exceptions:

  • Saturday Vendor Reception - business casual
  • Sunday Prayer Breakfast and Memorial Service – recommended uniformed personnel department class A or equivalent, business or business casual for all other attendees
  • Sunday Opening Party – resort casual (Beach themed)
  • Monday Night Social – casual
  • Tuesday Installation Reception and Banquet – recommended uniformed personnel department class A or equivalent, business and/or semi-formal for all other attendees

Meals and refreshments are only provided during sponsored events. To help you plan accordingly, please see the following list of events where food and beverage will be provided to guests:

*Please note attendees will be on their own for all breakfasts (with the exception of Sunday) and lunches unless invited to a specific function.

Conference App

To help you navigate the event, we will have a conference app available to attendees. An email will go out announcing the conference app, and signage will be available at the conference so you can download the app to your mobile phone. Connect and gather contact information from other attendees, review sessions and interact all from the palm of your hand.

Sponsors and exhibitors who will be participating in the Vendor Showcase and/or Vendor Reception will be given a designated table top based on their level of contribution in the pre-function area of the meeting space (please reference hotel meeting space detail). Locations will be assigned.

  • Exhibitors will be assigned a high-boy table for the Vendor Reception for Saturday, July 17 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM CT.
  • Sponsors will be assigned a 6 ft table for the Vendor Showcase for Saturday, July 17 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM CT, which includes the vendor reception.

Please reference your sponsorship or exhibitor agreement to confirm which level of contribution and thus, which schedule applies to you. See below for a overview schedule for move in and event times:

Vendor Representatives in Attendance
Vendors may have up to 4 reps per vendor table during the Vendor Showcase and the Vendor Reception - we ask that the number of vendors does not overwhelm the number of attendees at our event.

Sponsor level vendors may allow representative(s) to attend the conference for additional networking opportunities depending on level of contribution. Please pre-register these individuals by coordinating through the channels in which sponsorship was secured. If a vendor would like to attend the conference, but is not sponsoring or is an exhibitor which does not include registration, you may still attend the conference by registering as a member/non-member vendor at the same applicable rates.

Shipping
If you need to ship items to the hotel, they will not accept packages for our function until 3 days prior to the beginning of the event. The package must arrive at the earliest by Monday, July 12. The hotel will charge a handling fee of $5 for any items under 50 lbs, $50 per item over 50 lbs and $75 for any crate/pallets. Please address any shipments to the following:
