This one-day summit will serve to bring together a group of fire and emergency service professionals of all ranks to gain a better understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), to build upon their leadership skills through emotional intelligence and to have an open and engaging dialogue about the DEI challenges facing todays fire and emergency services.
In the workplace setting, DEI relates to actions taken in order to shift mindsets, behaviors, and practices toward equitable and inclusive leadership for individuals, teams, and organizations. The intent of this summit is to provide a safe environment for constructive conversations and questions to broaden the attendees’ understanding of these topics and share concerns from various perspectives to create better overall awareness of DEI.
Eligible for 8.5 CEU for Instructor, Fire Safety Inspector or Fire Code Administrator Certifications.
