GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
The Florida Fire Chiefs' Association represents Florida’s fire and emergency services before the state Legislature and state government including the Division of State Fire Marshal, Department of Health (Bureau of EMS), Department of Consumer Affairs (Division of Emergency Management), and Department of Agriculture (Division of Forestry). The FFCA is the only statewide association representing fire and emergency services management issues critically impacting live safety and emergency response.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE
This committee, composed of the FFCA members, works closely with the FFCA Board of Directors, to formulate a plan of action to address legislative issues which effect the Florida fire and emergency services.  A pro-active committee, it develops positions statement on legislative issues, recommends endorsements of candidates and coordinates lobbying activities during the legislative session.
